Apologies if this is in the wrong section. This is my first post on CC. I’m at a community college right now and am going to transfer in fall 18. What I’m having trouble with is I did very poorly the first few semesters at college. (Very low course load, and mostly C’s) I’m actually doing very well now. I’m getting all A’s with a maxed out course load, and EC’s. However I don’t know how to escape this black cloud that is following me and ruining my GPA. I should be able to graduate with a 3.6 with my last 60 units all as A’s. My question is what if anything can I do to escape this and how much is this going to impact me in the future. Thank you!
Colleges like to see an upward trend. If you have all A’s your last 60 units they will definitely notice!!
Have you been working with the xfer center at your CC to identify colleges that are a fit for you?
@mikemac Unfortunately, my CC isn’t very helpful in the counseling department. I’ve been figuring a lot of this stuff out on my own. I’m not trying to get into Harvard or anything but I would like to avoid a state school unless it’s like a Berkeley or an LA. I’m also a business major unfortunately, so that doesn’t make it easier.
