I got the waitlist e-mail a while back cliked the accept waitlist hyperlink (because Tulane was my third choice) and well I got into my number one a few weeks ago (UVA). I tried to go back and click the decline waitlist hyperlink but that now just redirects to my waitlist page. I sent and e-mail to my advisor thanking them, and asking to be removed from the waitlist to open up room for other kids....I never heard back, that was about a week and a half ago........

...Is there anything I can do to have my name removed, I feel bad because there are other kids on that list who realy realy want to go because it's their number one and I feel like I could be preventing some one who deserves that spot from getting it. Any suggestions....should I call?

Don’t worry about it, you have done what you can. It is up to Tulane now. Besides, you really are not keeping a slot form anyone. If Tulane screws up and offers you a slot despite the fact that you told them already, you will tell them “no” then, and they will move on to the next person. No harm done as long as you respond promptly if they do in fact make an offer.

Congrats on UVA and have a great 4 years!

since you are from new england you probably emailed stephanie right? she hasnt responded to my email either…im assuming shes on vacation or something

It’s great that you’re being so conscientious, but you really have done all you need to do. You notified Tulane about withdrawing from the waitlist, so assume they got your message and are just too busy to acknowledge it. (This IS a very busy time for Admissions Offices!) Quite frankly, your chances of getting called off the waitlist are rather low anyway, and if they do finally admit them, as fallenchemist noted, you can just say no at that point.

And congrats on getting into your 1st choice!
