How do I repay my Federal Perkins Loans? Great Lakes only show my Federal Direct loan

How do I repay my Federal Perkins Loans?

Great Lakes only show my Federal Direct Subsidized loans. Based on my research, my Federal Perkins Loans are owned by my 4-year school which is loan serviced by ACS, Inc.

My Federal Direct Subsidized student loans are owned by Great Lakes.

Can someone help me interpret this?

"Unless you are eligible for further deferment, your next payment will be due on September 1, 2014 providing you are continuously enrolled at an institution of higher education at least half-time."

Does this mean that even if I am enrolled at a community college for the next 10 years, I still have to repay the Federal Perkins Loans by September 1, 2014?

I thought my Federal Perkins loans would be deferred infinitely as long as I am enrolled continuously full-time at a community college.

See https://www.acs-education.com/CS/Jsp/general/home.jsp</a> for ACS website. You may want to contact your school’s finanical aid office too.

Perkins loans are actually borrowed through the school, not Direct Loans; this is why your Perkins servicer is not the same as your Direct Loan servicer. If you log into [National Student Loan Data System for Students](http://www.nslds.ed.gov), you will find the customer service contact number for your Perkins servicer. Call them and have them explain everything to you.
