How do I respond to professor's "get well"e-mail and why do not all professors respond?

I wrote to two professors because I was sick for classes for a day, yesterday. One responded with “get well, find solutions here and there”. The other did not respond. How should I respond?

Get whatever make up stuff you need from classmates and move on. Don’t think anymore about it.

No response is necessary, although it might be nice to note that prof #1 was helpful as you fill out your course evaluations. If you really feel the need to respond, a simple “thank you” is sufficient.

Do not pursue the matter with the other professor.

Was your email calling for a response? Sounds like you were just notifying him or her of your absence. And maybe you will still get a response - not all emails that are not time sensitive are answered right away. Take care of yourself.
