Last year I had two of my teachers write the letters and seal in envelopes. Can I mail them directly to UF?

I don’t believe that UF accepts recommendation letters

You can send it to the admissions office through the mail, and they will put them in your file, but they play no role in their decision. As it was explained to me, no one ever sent in a letter that made them look bad so they had no real effect anyway.

Thank you guys. So do you think I should send them? They are not amazing, but they are pretty good. My stats are not the best, so I thought they’d give me the extra push. Any ideas?

Don’t send them. UF specifically says on their admissions page that they do not accept letters of recommendation, so sending them makes it look like you can’t follow directions.

Okay good to know thank you! I looked all over their website but didn’t see anything.

They don’t accept them. When we came last summer for the campus tour the director was very specific in saying they don’t accept them. He actually said they throw them in the trash! Which at the time I thought was quite rude ;)

Keep them for scholarship applications or something like that, UF will just circular file them.

Thank you both for the info :)
