I just learned about this from another guy's post on some other thread. Apparently it has nothing to do with the regular TAP (Transfer Alliance Program) that is usually associated with the Honors Program...I tried to find it online but I couldn't find any info on how to sign up. I only found this old info from 06:

UC Notes - April 2006

You have to talk to a Berkeley rep at your school… it is officially called the Transfer Alliance
Project (TAP) at the University of California, Berkeley for the TAP/Jack
Kent Cooke program.

I’m part of the program. You have to be disadvantaged in some way (first-generation, low-income, or minority). Mention one of these things to a Berkeley counselor (who comes down and visits your college), and you’ll get an application. They only pick 60 people in California to be a part of the program, though.

Is being in TAP a big benefit for the admission?
