How Do I Stack Up to the Rest of the Applicants?

Im currently a junior in high school. I have a 3.49 unweighted GPA. I have taken all honors classes offered since freshman year and recieved usually B+s and As, with one B- and two C+ in Algebra 3 my sophomore year. Also, I am currently in 2 AP classes this year and plan on taking a couple more next year as well. My school also goes by a 7 point scale rather than a 10 point (I dont know if that changes anything). I am captain of the lacrosse team, a member of student council, and in 2 other school run clubs as well. I also work during the school year and am a camp councilor for 9 weeks during the summer.

My top two schools are Boston University and Northeastern. I understand that these schools are competative and I would like to know my chances of admission. These are my two top schools and I can't even see myself anywhere else. Therefore, if my chances aren't very good, what do I need to do to improve them?

Thanks!!

Also, my school does not weigh my GPA until senior year. Roughly, what would a 3.49 be weighted? over 1/2 of my classes were honors. with 2 APs

It all depends on how your own school does the weighting. There is no standard, and there’s no way for people who don’t know where you go to high school to know what your weighted GPA will be.

I got no clue about your chances at BU or Northeastern. Sorry. I could make something up, if it’ll make you feel better…

It would be hard to say without standardized test scores.

Its hard to tell because we are NOT administration officers, so we don’t konw what they are looking for.
