I want to start a club at my school (a Future Medical Work Force Club or something like that) but besides actually creating the club (all I have to do is run it by the principle) itself, what do I do? I have a bunch of people who would want to join because they're interested and a bunch of friends who would join to support me but what happens once I make them members? I know this is part of starting a club but I'm coming up empty.

Meet your school’s activities director. I started a club this year and it was actually really simple. He made me write out a club outline, find members to join, find a club coach/advisor, and write information about meetings and stuff. Then, write out duties for possible board positions in your club (like VP, Secretary, etc.) so you can divide the work up. Have meetings once or twice a week during lunch. And make sure you plan out agendas for every meeting (like what you’re going to talk about)!

We don’t have an activities director… But those sound like a start. Thanks!

Oh, well I guess that’s easier to create the club then. Make sure you make announcements in the school, and post flyers up promoting your new club.
Also, if you’re starting a Future Medical Work Force Club, then an idea would be to go to your local hospital or pharmacy and find people working in the medical field who might be interested in helping you guys. They can come to your school one day and give a seminar on medical education or something. Or you can simply watch medical videos or have discussions about your future careers during the meetings until a good opportunity comes up.
