Should I get strait to the point, expand a little, talk about events, or what?

I don't really think I am really unique, except for qualities like "kindness and elegance," which don't necessarily fit what a college is looking for.

Polite and kind guy vs. intelligent and polite guy... See?

Arg... Someone please help spark my writing spirit! I can't think! I have been putting this essay off for about 2 months. It's crossed my mind everyday, but now it's really time to get cracking. I need to FORCE MYSELF!

i have a soft spot for fellow procrastinators so i will try to help. I cant say i have great advice, but i’ll try:
first of all, good music is key. music that puts you in the writing mood.
i would stay focused, those essays just seem to come out better than something that is scattered. try to go with one main idea.
are there any moments or memories that stand out to you? they dont have to be big events. there was a memory from my childhood that i think about often, and i only recently realized it was perfect to write about. what is “classic you”?
do you have a goal or anything you want to do in life? try to think of the origin of that goal. it doesn’t have to be specific, like a career, but anything. i wrote about the general things i wanted to accomplish and what inspired me, and people seemed to like the essay
you could be really creative and write about why you think youre normal or not unique or something yet make it really interesting inspiring, but that would be hard to pull off.
oh, and definitely brainstorm and write a bunch of ideas on paper. this trick they taught in third grade still really works
don’t worry, i didnt think i was unique, yet i found things to write about.
good luck
