The Common app does not provide a link on the school form page for me to ask my professors to submit their recommendations. Am I missing something or do they have to be mailed?

Transfer applicants cannot send LORs online, you need to use a hard copy of the IE form.

Commonapp does not have the feature to upload it for transfers, unfortunately. But they do have a ‘School Forms’ section.

You should check what your schools want for recommendations. Some schools require you to use the ‘Instructor Evaluation’ form under ‘School Forms’ in commonapp (which you have to mail it anyway) while some schools require you to use their own personal form for transfer recommendations.

Print the form, fill out the student portion, sign and date. Provide your instructors with an envelope that is already addressed and stamped. If you desire also include a brief list of some of your ECs, interests, and any other relevant information to make the process easier on them.

It is common courtesy to give your professors at least one month to fill out your application so they do not feel rushed. Good luck!
