How do I take an AP level course over the summer?

I'm an aspiring Neuroscience major, however I do not find it wise with my schools rigor to take both AP Bio and AP Chem in the same year (No one has really done it, they're two of the hardest courses that my school offers). So, I'm planning to take AP Chem this summer as an independent study. Does anyone know of any programs that offers this? I'm looking for something similar to the BYU programs for online courses...

What do you mean by “independent study”? Do you want credit for the course? If so, then I’d recommend taking it through Keystone.

If you’re solely interested in learning the material in preparation for the AP exam though, then you could probably just purchase a couple of AP Chemistry preparation guides and study those.

However, If you haven’t taken either AP Biology or AP Chemistry yet, then I’d suggest taking AP Chemistry at your school, while taking AP Biology during the summer through UCCP. UCCP is essentially a program that enables students to obtain class materials for free (just without instruction, grades, or credit).

FLVS (Florida Virtual School)?

Here’s the UCCP AP Biology course if you’re interested:

You’ll be hard-pressed to find an AP course offered over the summer since the exam is only offered in May.

FLVS does.

You can take AP Bio at UC Berkeley or online CTY-JHU
