How do I use Parchment for Harvard?

<p>Do I use Parchment to send my transcripts to the Common App or to Harvard itself? Although there's supposedly a transcript copy sent in the school report, my GC told me I have to send an official transcript through Parchment as well. Do I send this to Common App, Harvard, or BOTH?</p>

  1. When you use Parchment to send transcripts, do you send it to the Common App, or do you send it to Harvard? Or perhaps send to both?
  2. Am I supposed to be sending a transcript in the first place, since there’s a transcript in the SSR that my GC fills out?</p>

<p>I’ve never encountered a GC that says a student sends transcripts. Usually the colleges only accept official transcripts from the High Schools. Your situation is very curious.</p>

<p>On the Common Application, you “invite” your guidance counselor by sending him or her an email. You do the same with your teachers. Your teachers upload their recommendation letters and your GC uploads the transcript and Secondary School Report. When you press the submit button, and send your application to Harvard (and your other colleges), the Admissions Office downloads your complete file, which will include your application with essay, the supplement with essays, transcript, Secondary School Report, and two teacher recommendations.</p>
