How do I withdraw parents ED permission?

revised this-

Not a resident expert but OP should look at the Profile, itself, online.

2014-15 should ask for 2013 (current,) 2012 (lookback,) and 2014 (projection.) That is for all kids applying for the 2014-15 academic year, whether now or Dec.

If there is an admit and a FA award, you still submit the updated documents after 12/31/13, when you can get an accurate read on 2013.

My D2 was ED and I’m looking at her Profile from that first year- same as above.

Bigger issue: if the school is not affordable, do you and D have a Plan B? Does she understand there is just so much you can afford, on 100k, if the aid is not sufficient? Does she agree?

At this point maybe you do need to go to the finaid forum for some straight advice.

My free advice…which I think the OP figured out already.

Apply RD. Cast a wide net. Compare final offers and make a final decision by May 1.

If your daughter has an EA or rolling admissions application she can send, you might want to do that. There is something very comforting about that first acceptance…and EA and rolling admissions are not binding.

If your daughter has already submitted her ED application to the college and wants it to be RD…she should contact the college ASAP and ask that her application be moved to the regular decision round. She won’t be the first student to do so.
