So I’m an international student preparing to take the SAT in November(I’m applying next November) and I really don’t know how to write the essay because I don’t know any examples I could use. Can you use real life experiences/hypothesise or do you use things you’ve learnt from lessons? I really don’t get it??
Well, you can use your personal, real life experiences. But I dont think they are as strong as examples from books/history. If you give me a specific prompt, I can try and help you create 2 examples.
Well, for the SAT essay, you won’t know the prompt going into it, but you can be sure the theme will revolve around something historical, or something that asks you to expound upon a foundational idea. I think the best way for you to prepare is to practice writing concisely on a specific topic with two or three main points, within a time limit.
