How do I...

I just got a letter in the mail for Federal Loans. I just realized, I don't know how one goes about applying for these?

I had always just assumed FAFSA dealt with this...

I filed the FAFSA, but how do I actually get the Federal Financial Aid to which I am entitled?

With an EFC of 2800, what Federal Loans/Grants can I expect? Or are there other factors involved?

Ther are a lot of loan companies out there trying to get your business by sending these letters. I got one the other day and it went to the trash. Until you get your financial aid offer from your school you will not know how much grant and how much loan you are being offered - you should get some federal grant money with an EFC of 2800. And the loans in the package may be subsidised (government pays interest till you graduate) or not.So wait till you get the financial aid offer then ask the school about the loans.

The mailing you got is a marketing ploy. Throw it away. Wait until you get your financial aid package, which will likely include the federal loans you qualify for under FAFSA. Then see if you need to apply for other loans.

Ok thanks!
