I am a state board student. I don’t study in a fancy international school.
I study in Narayana Concept school, Hyderabad. I will be visiting my school after a few weeks.
I want to know how to ask them for recommendation letters. I am very sure none of the previous students came and asked them for any recommendation letters.
And I will be moving out of this city in July. So, I can’t get them write the letter in August.
Should I create an account for them right now and later call them up and remind them in August?
I have 4 teachers who really like me
Talk to them now. Tell them what you plan to do and the importance of recommendations. That will give them ample time to think and write a good letter.
I study in Narayana Junior College and I’m facing the exact same dilemma.
I used to study in Narayana. So I know exactly what you feel like. Which branch? I studied for a year in Krishna Murthy IIT, so they are very qualified and some of them are IIT graduates, so they are going to write my letters.
@Nimisha99 Bowenpally, Hyderabad. I initially chose the IIT campus in Madhapur but then I opted out of the hostel.
@pcwizkid143 I think you should show them some sample letters or write them yourself
@Nimisha99 I got them to write the letters. Didn’t get to see them so I’m not too sure about the quality. Hoping for the best.
@pcwizkid143 Did they upload it on common app or did you send them by mail? I don’t think Narayana teachers speak/write very quality english.
I think I’m gonna send it using mail. I know, right? I’m really worried.
I asked them to write it , they said they couldn’t because they didn’t know how to so I wrote them on my own
@Khurau - I know this is an old thread which should not have been resurrected, but now that you did, I have a question. You wrote the recommendation letters on behalf of your teachers? You know that is not a permissible act.
well I “wrote” it for them , they read it and signed it … i wrote it when they told me they couldn’t themselves , I don’t really think I did anything wrong here
