How do international students apply for application fee waivers through common app??

Hello, I have finished some of my college application and am ready to send them. However my family cannot afford to pay $60 for each college. I live in India. In the payments page I noticed apart from credit card/checques some options are NAFAC collegeboard waivers. But these two are not applicable to me as I am international. However the last payment option in the common app says 'other fee waiver' does anyone know what do I have to do to use this option(like do I get my conselour to submit a letter or do i send the colleges my income tax). I know each college may differ in their answers, but what do you guys think I need to do?

Students who do not qualify for NACAC waivers are welcome to have their college guidance counselor submit a fee waiver request to the college on the student’s behalf. This would apply to both domestic and international students.

Whether or not the college chooses to grant a fee waiver is, as you’ve said, up to the college.

You might find the [Indian student sub-forum](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/india/) to be helpful with any other questions you may have about the application process.

thanks. will look into that. So do I have to send this letter separately by post? or is there somewhere in the common app I can do this?

You need to email each admissions office separately, and ask them what they want you do do. Do not be surprised if each of them requires something different.
