Hello, I'm an international student interested in studying in a Canadian university, and maybe one day immigrating there.

A little about me: international student, future candidate (havent applied yet) with 18.55 (that is about top 3% worldwide) in the French Baccalaureate (scientific section), planning to pursue a BA.

After a little research, my understanding is that the average cost of attendance (tuition + miscellaneous expenses, not including living expenses etc.) per year for an international student pursuing a BA is between cad$30k and cad$40k. This is obviously a stellar sum of money, so my question is how would an international student go about being able to pay for college in Canada? When I apply I will have about $25k savings (mine and my parents' included), and I will obviously apply for scholarships, but I don't think all that will suffice to cut it, especially after I've read somewhere on this forum that Canadian Universities never offer full scholarships.
Can anyone suggest anything or share experiences?

Also, which Canadian universities offer high scholarships and financial aid (for an international)? Would it be Queen's? Is Queen's a good university compared to McGill or UofT, because I'm more interested in those?

If it matters, I'm planning to go to law school one day, hopefully McGill Law or UofT Law.

I’ll be using the GI Bill to cover most of the tuition at UBC, the small shortfall I’ll be responsible for I plan to cover with scholarships/grants/loans etc. The monthly housing allowance which amounts to CAD $1300 helps a ton too.

Otherwise I would never be able to afford it if it weren’t for Uncle Sam covering most of the cost.
