<p>They probably won’t write 8 different letters but modify the one letter they write. I have seen recommendation letters (both for graduate students and undergraduates) that mention a different university than mine by name. It is a bit annoying but understandable.</p>
<p>If you’re talking about using the CA:</p>
<ol>
<li>You submit teacher information on the CA.</li>
<li>The CA invites teachers to submit a LOR.</li>
<li>Teacher uploads the LOR to the CA.</li>
<li>When you submit the CA to a school(s), you select which LORs to send with the application.</li>
</ol>
<p>For schools not using the CA, your teachers may have to alter their basic LOR somewhat, but LOR formats are generally very similar.</p>
