How do my ECs look for Duke?

<p>I know ECs don't matter too much, but I have a competivive ACT (33) and good grades (maybe just a bit below Dukes average- per naviance .2ish below, but I had a bad freshman year) but I want to know if my ECs are good. Track takes up a lot of time, so I don't have much, but I'm dedicated and I think I'm kind of unique (but I could have bias)</p>

<p>Indoor Track (will be 4 years, have won/placed at some big competitions)
Outdoor Track (will be 4 yrs)
Internship in a European Government for a month (got a rec from the guy- I did some pretty cool things and went to meetings and all- it was a lot of fun. Will this type of thing stand out, I know where mightn't matter too much, but that it is a national govt must be pretty unique, right?)
Student Council (elected) ( a little over 3 yrs, have a leadership position- I organized a fundraiser for Haiti and a ping pong tourney along with a 9-11 memorial)
Founder of GAA club (Irish sports- 2 yrs, have some leadership like captain)
founded a school fan club for after school activities (1 yr) *
NHS/Tutoring Contributor for Newspaper (2 yrs)
Interned at colligate baseball league for 2 years (game day operations)
Wrote and helped edit their yearbook for 3 years
Mowed lawns during spring/summer/fall as a job 4 yrs
Cross Country (Frosh Captain) (1 yr)</p>

<p>Actually EC’s are important… They are what sets students apart. So many apply with 30’s, it is just the select few that show leadership. however, your ec’s are good… you show good involvement… Did you say your gpa is a 2.ish?</p>

No my GPA W is 4.0 (I know Weighted GPA doesn’t matter as the colleges do their own thing with it, but naviance that only shows WGPA says the average is around 4.15-4.2, so I’m about .2 below and I have about the same test scores- but nobody has applied early decision so I’m unsure about my status.) I was hoping my ECs would help boost me a bit, along with essays which are pretty good IMHO.</p>

<p>Oh, so your chances are still high!!! Lol. Don’t stress over your gpa… you have straight A’s!! Lol. but you are challenging yourself at your school, right?</p>

<p>Thanks! Ya I’ve taken 6 APs (can start with them Jr year) and 6 honors and I go to a pretty good prep school so hopefully that helps.</p>
