<p>I'm currently a junior, I will have this standing:</p>
<p>-Band (9, 10, 11, 12), 1st chair bass clarinet. Experience in marching band, wind ensemble, pep band, pit orchestra. Possible drum major next year for marching band, which would make me insanely happy but I'm not counting on it.
-Environmental Club (9-12): President
-Key Club (9-12): President
-National Honor Society: President
-Astronomy Club (11-12): Founder and President
-JV and Varsity Track & Field (10-12)
-Does TASP count as an EC? (Summer of '12)
-Masterminds and Scholastic Bowl (two separate quiz bowls)- (10-12) Captain
-Local TV station anchor/tech help for a channel focused on HS students and community (9-12)
-Grassroots Program (10-12)</p>
<p>I have no idea how people have extremely long lists; this all really eats up my time. I come from a very disadvantaged area where grad and testing standard rates are so low, that they don't let the brighter kids take January/August Regents early so that the June rates ("the most important-looking") will appear higher. I'm also a very rare racial minority in applying to colleges and graduating high school, most of you can likely figure out what that is-- also have enrollment and citizenship in that minority status. I don't want to give too many personal details about myself because I haven't gone to TASP yet and I don't my online interactions to pinpoint anything about myself on too personal a scale; I know a lot of them lurk and I want nothing to do with tainting the process. :P</p>
