I'm just wondering how my SAT and ACT scores compare to each other.

SAT I
Total-2290
Math-740
Reading-790
Writing-760
Essay-09

ACT with Writing
Composite-35
Combined English and Writing-32
English-34
Math-35
Reading-35
Science-35
Essay-09

Is one of these scores better than the other or do they both come out about even? How does college take into consideration the ACT composite score vs. the ACT English and Writing Score? Should I send both of these, just the ACT, or just the SAT to the colleges I apply? (I'm applying to MIT, Naval Academy, West Point, Stanford, Notre Dame, Rice) Thanks for your help.

You know there’s conversion charts right??

But in my opinion, I think your SAT is more impressive just because its the SAT, but a 35 on the ACT is really awesome as well.

I’d send both =P

I know there is a conversion chart, but it doesn’t take into account the Writing score for the ACT (or at least not the one I looked at).

I heard that colleges look at the ACT score overall, while they look at SAT scores individually.

Both scores seem really impressive; this should be the least of your worries, lol. Congratulations!

Amazing scores you should be proud of. Send them both.

Colleges accept both…they don’t “prefer” the SAT…and your ACT score is higher.

Your 35 ACT = SAT 2360 (which is higher than your actual SAT)
