How do they do that? I wasr eading through stanford's instructions and suddenly they say that my teachers can submit their recs through the common app. where do they click?

I don't believe that they can.. I could be wrong but I don't think so. The instructions most likely mean that you can get the teacher evaluation form off of the common application because as far as I know, other than the application, all the other forms have to be mailed to the college.

The website suggests it can be done at certain schools.
edit; from their site under instructions for school forms; note last two lines..

"School Forms
There are a variety of school forms that need to be completed by your counselor/school official and reference forms that need to be completed by your teachers/instructors. These are outlined in the 'School Forms' section. If you have elected to create multiple versions of your Common App, you should print out school forms intended for a particular college only when you are logged in to the version of the application intended for that particular college. Otherwise, the wrong ID will appear on the bottom of the school forms page, which may cause confusion for your colleges.

Some first-year applicants will be able to have these forms submitted online, depending on what high school you attend(ed). "

I found this under Stanford's instructions:

Your teacher will need to mail the evaluation form directly to our office, please provide your teacher with the appropriate Stanford mailing label.

cool, so it's not available for every school. and i'm an international so the chances aren't high. :P

anyway, I prefer the paper version of the form in any case.

thanks guys :)

My school does it and it's pretty sweet! You can see whenever the forms are submitted by teachers, so you don't have to worry that they'll forget or that the recs will get lost in the mail.
