So I am looking at some discussions in CC, and certain applicants have an extensive list of ECs. How do they fit all of them in the common app? Isn’t 10 the maximum allowed?
You can sometimes add more in the “additional information” section, or just choose the most important 10 activities. Anything past that is unlikely to make much difference anyway.

Really, you should list them in order of importance to you. Then combine like items. Your 6th or 7th club — no one really will care…
Some ECs can be combined into one line, other less important ones may end up being dropped. But unless you have 10+ ECs don’t worry about it.
