To start at the new school starting sophomore year?

I thought that you needed to have completed at least one year before you apply?

Does this mean that colleges will only see your first semester grades?

yes or first two quarters

So I guess it's important to take a strong schedule right off the bat?

Do colleges generally accept less sophomores than juniors, or is it all the same? thanks.

it depends on the college

also, you should probably apply for junior transfer, since your HS stats aren't so hot... jmho of course

How do you know my HS stats? I guess I must have posted them at some point or another, lol, I had forgotten.

Yeah, I was considering junior transfer anyway (unless I fall in love to the school I'm going.)

Generally if you get into as a sophomore transfer, you should have a pretty strong schedule combined with a strong GPA. Not only that, generally your HS stats and SAT/ACT shouldn't be lacking too much.

With that said, there are exceptions to this rule, you can have a pretty high HS GPA/SAT/ACT, and a bit lower college GPA, but when you're in college, the college GPA is probably the more important of the two.
