Are they like the ones at Harvard and Yale? Any differences? thx

The answer is actually rather complicated right now, since Princeton is in the process of transitioning to a new Residential College program. The current system is somewhat different from other schools - the residential colleges are only for freshmen and sophomores, and after that students can choose to live in any upperclass housing. Many upperclassmen join eating clubs to get meals, while others cook for themselves (become "independent") or take turns preparing meals with a co-op.
The new system (detailed here: http://www.princeton.edu/rc/) will give students the option to stay in a residential college for four years. This move has been somewhat controversial, but it's too early to say what changes (if any) this will make to campus life.
