<p>I never thought about it from the teachers perspective, it being an honor to write a letter of recommendation. Of course, I will be asking the teachers who have been around for 10 years, so like one of you said, the novelty will have worn of to them.</p>
<p>I really urge you not to think of your request being perceived as an honor by your teachers. I have never seen it that way; I have always seen it as a request from a student for a favor. And I don’t know of any colleagues who see it as an honor, either.</p>
<p>I am happy to do this favor for a student I can recommend, but I am never confused about who’s doing something nice for whom.</p>
