How do the admission officers physically read the Common Application?

<p>I'm just wondering how they are gonna actually read it.</p>

<p>Are they gonna read it on computers,
or somebody at the office is responsible for printing it on papers
and passing it to the admission officers?</p>

<p>Because I'm pretty sure if the admission officers have to read
the whole application on the computers, their eyes will soon get tired suffer a lot....
which means they'll hate longer essays even more.. :)</p>

<p>We were at a session with 4 colleges about a month ago; one Admissions Officer said they were taking everything on line this year; i.e., they are going to read the whole thing on a computer screen, apparently. He said it was an experiment, to see how it would go. So far as I could tell, the other three schools were still reading hard copy…</p>
