But I remember hearing about other people checking through their emails too. So do universities, especially Penn, send the decision via both methods?

And for the decisions website (the link above), does the result show right after we log in?

I just want to make sure because I don't want to randomly click and accidentally find out my results. Thanks :)

DS was regular decision, but seem to remember he logged in and results were there. Same with Stanford and Yale. An email may come out telling the release date/time, but I think the email does not say yes or no.

Agreed with capenn15. My friend who got into Penn ED last year said it’s all on the portal, though you may or may not get an e-mail saying that the decision is “up”. The e-mail, if I am correct, doesn’t state the actual decision results. Good luck to us all!

Rush10 - DS is darling son…dear son…d (filling the blank) son…DD is about daughter…DH is husband…ect.

prayer: Yes you get a letter if you are accepted which includes more info…plus FA info. We found the website to be very helpful…they do email you to remind you to do tasks, etc.

So is it just like one huge word saying accepted/deferred/rejected? or is there a whole letter and if there is a letter what does the acceptance letter look like? :P

I was just wondering, does anyone know if you have to click to see the results? Or rather, is it, once you log-in, the letter (linked above) pops up?

The decision portal is the only way to view decisions online for both ED and RD cycles. You will receive a packet in the mail, but a few weeks following the online release. Good luck!
