How do they know which school you are applying to?

I want to apply to Binghamton's business school but they have no supplement for the commonapp so where do I select which college I want?!!

Your college is automatically Harpur, unless you select a major that is offered only by a specific college. For example:

If you put “Physics” as your major, you are applying to Harpur.

If you put “Human Development” as your major, you are applying to CCPA.

If you put “Business” as your major, you are applying to SOM.

If you put “Computer Engineering” as your major, you are applying to Watson.

If you put “Nursing” as your major, you are applying to Decker SON.

Those are NOT the only routes into the various schools. With the exception of CCPA, all the Professional Schools offer more than just one major. For example, you can also apply to SOM by selecting “Accounting” or “Management.”

[Binghamton University - Academics](http://www2.binghamton.edu/academics/index.html)

i dont see a place to write my major either…?

I’m saying this from memory, because my Common App account appears to no longer function:

You can select your major at the same time you “add” a school to your application. On the same page where you select Early/Regular/Rolling you should also be able to select a major (“Career Interest”). It is under the section “Future Plans” on both the electronic and paper versions.

oh okay thanks i see now
