How do transfer credits work? Can you choose not to transfer?

<p>I took a couple of courses while in high school for college credit via EvCC's College in the High School program. I got Bs and know I can do better if I can take these classes next year at UW as a freshman. Am I obligated to transfer the credits and start out with a low GPA, or can I just send them the transcripts and opt not to transfer these credits?</p>

<p>No, you CANNOT choose not to transfer. But you start out at UW with a blank GPA. Only UW classes count towards your UW GPA.</p>
