even though my counselor told me my unweighted gpa is 4.0
i don believe it cuz i don have 100 in every classes
is it possible to have 4.0 gpa without having 100 in every class?
someone tell me how to calculate it so that i have a clue on what is going on

You'd have to have A's in all of your classes, whatever that is at your school (usually 90-100%).

well
i do have all a's
actually most of them except one or two are 98 or up
but does anyone know how to calculate it though?

A=4
B=3
C=2
D=1
F=0

Add up the points and divide by the number of classes.

r u kidding?
that's all?

This is where I always get confused..aren't A-'s 3.67?

There is no universal way to do it. You can use AW posted or you can do
A = 4
A- = 3.67
B+ = 3.33
...

alright
ill just not worry about it then..
i know its above 3.9 for sure
so i don care

That's the way colleges do it college student GPA. Most colleges do unweighted GPA my way for freshmen admissions.

so any type of a would be a 4 right?
yay
then i have 4.0 gpa so far

Google "gpa conversion" and you will see that 97-100% equals 4.0.
Try this or one of many sites on line:

For college admissions, most colleges give no extra boost or penalty for pluses and minuses for your high school grades. (all A's = 4, all B's = 3, etc.)

However, as a student attending college, some colleges do give boosts or penalties for your college class grades. (A+/A = 4, A- = 3.7, B+ = 3.3, B = 3, etc.)

^ Wait what? For my school, A-(92-94) are considered As, so I have a 4.0. Will that change when I apply? I did not know that there was a difference because my school says it is all the same.

Most colleges will give your A- a 4 for admission gpa calculation. Minuses usually don't give grade point penalties.

Sorry if I was unclear, the last statement was for college students, not high school students.
