I barely have time to study for SAT on weekdays because of school h.w. and tests..
How much time do you guys spend? Just wondering. lol

Half an hour tops on weekdays and a couple of hours on weekends.

^ yup barely ever had any time. Sometimes did practice tests during spare periods. Fridays and weekends were top times to do it.

Don’t sleep.

Actually, just prioritize.

I never do anything SAT-related (except this forum) on school days.

Take advantage of breaks and extended weekends.

You have to find the balance that works for you, mine involved waiting until the week before the SAT to begin studying and putting all schoolwork aside to do it. My grades that week weren’t something to be proud of, but didn’t lower my overall grade.

Smarter decision is what others are saying, just 30min-1hr a day and/or weekends.

I usually do at least one practice test per week, and now that January 23 is around the corner, maybe some practice reading packets during school when I don’t feel like paying attention to a boring lecture.

If you’re dedicated with the level of intensity that cornetking is, that’s great. I do have some words of admonishment, though: make sure that you take at least a one-day break from anything SAT-related at least once a week. Completely immersed preparation can often have regressive effects if done improperly.

silverturtle is correct as he is always. Also, make sure you use the materials in the following order of preference: Collegeboard, Princeton Review, Kaplan, Barrons.

I’ve never done SAT prep on a school day besides taking Larry Krieger’s class. Practice tests are all in the range I’m aiming for though.

Studying for SATs? you’re studying for SATs when you do your math or english homework… that’s worked for me at least (for the PSATs that is)

wow dude, you don’t need to study. seriously the sat is just stuff you learned already, so just like review couple days before and you’ll be prime.

Many students do not reach their optimal level of performance after only a couple days of preparation.

I find utilizing vacations and (sometimes) weekends the only possible way. For me (and I would expect for at least some others), there just aren’t enough hours on a weekday-night. Plus, I find SAT studying is easier in larger chunks, for me at least.

yea, I prep on weekends for the SAT, but just do vocab on weekdays

I did a CR section in US history today. Surprised myself by getting 3 sentence completions wrong, as I usually do not miss any of these on the entire SAT.

^lol, u just pulled out your SAT book in US history?

I had photocopied packets. It’s actually really handy. If you know you have a class that doesn’t do anything, you know what to do…

Get the SAT done early.
