I'm going to apply for fall 2010 and I was wondering, do UCs count your upcoming fall and spring gpas towards your cumulative gpa? Or do they just count the gpa you have when you apply?

By the way, my CC goes by semesters not quarters, if that helps.

The UCs won’t count your community college GPA. your gpa will start over when you transfer.

Edit: Sorry, I misunderstood your question. They will get your Fall gpa for sure. i think you send it to them. I’ve heard people argue both ways in regards to your Spring gpa.

Oh sorry, I didn’t make my question clear enough. I meant, how do UCs calculate your gpa for ADMISSIONS? Do they count your upcoming fall and spring gpas towards your cumulative gpa? Or do they just count the gpa you have when you apply?

upcoming fall + winter (if you take it) count…

if you’re offered admission, you’ll have a Transfer Provisional Admission Contract that will stipulate the overall GPA and lowest permissible class grades required for your admission to remain in effect.

usually, it just says to keep over a 3.0, and not get any D’s or F’s in any classes, while also not dropping any classes.
