How do UCs check personal awards/extra curricular activities?

Do UC(s) check personal awards ?

I put one non academic award (sports related) on my application but I lost the trophy…it was something I won outside of school… in a Saturday volleyball tournament at a different high school

1st of all, do they check ? If yes how do they check ?

If they check then do they ask me for it or they contact my counselor ? How does it work because my counselor doesn’t know that I won it.

Second q on extra curricular activities…

I join like Checkers Club at school… my advisor is a foreign language teacher chinese and they hold meetings at lunch time like once a week. If they ask for hours then do they call my Chinese teacher ? How does it work ?

its an honor system. they don't check (as far as i know), they'd have to check thousands of applicants if they did.

i think they do random checks

Random 10% check. Just like tax forms.

in case I happen to be that 10% check (not that i want that to happen)...... in order to verify hours....do they call my Checkers Club advisor or through counselor's office? Which comes first?

I won an award outside of school hours........

If they check then do they ask me for the trophy or they contact my counselor ? My counselor doesn't know that I won it and I lost the trophy/certificate.....

Stop worrying! It will straighten out in the end. I highly doubt they will be so hung up on what you did in a volleyball tournament one Saturday and your hours playing checkers as to do something drastic such as reject you. You did the work and if your counselor knows your character well enough to believe you in the instance where you might have to prove your hours, I would NOT be concerned.
