How do US universities view Olevels/Alevels grades and do they differentiate between As and A*s

Please state a source, if possible. Thank You

Most people don’t have a source, they only have experience.
There’s no real distinction between A and A* if we’re talking AAA or AAA or AAA.
Now, if you have A
A*D we’re in a different configuration but it’s not that common.

So is it like that for Olevels/IGCSES as well?

Yes, usually.
8 IGCSE’s and 3 A-Levels (sometimes 4 A-Levels depending on the with perhaps 1-3 AS Levels - depending on the student, the subjects, and the caliber of schools you target) are the elements you send American colleges. All IGCSE’s are one half of your GPA and all A-Levels are one half of your GPA.
