As a deferred applicant, I sent an update with a LOT of important information. It was faxed and I got a confirmation from the other side, but I'm just feeling unsure right now. Do you think its alright to just ASSUME that the committee saw it? I sent it around Feb 20 btw.

1) what can you do about it now, regardless?
2) decisions are already made
3) stop driving yourself nuts. Try relax if at all possible

Good luck to you

Thanks. Its tough though. I really really hope my update letter was considered.

Yale doesn’t track additional information, so it won’t show up on your account. If you sent it in on the 20th, you should be fine. Try to relax the next day or two.

I’ll try! Best of luck to everyone.

Yeah, pretty sure schools can’t confirm the receipt of additional information. I called UPenn (<333 top choice) and they said they couldn’t confirm my update letter.

In my experience, they will sometimes acknowledge email updates via a simple reply, but will not be able to confirm it later on.

Should I have done more? Could I have had my counselor check up on it or contacted someone from inside Yale?

^ NO. There’s literally nothing else you could have done.
Calm down and stop worrying; your decision is already safely stored somewhere in the realms of cyberspace waiting to be posted to you.
