<p>I'm already seeing other students selling bio 93,94, chem books...</p>
<p>How can we know which books are used for which class?
Is it possible that the class might be using a new edition than the one that students are selling?</p>
<p>Does anyone KNOW the names + editions bio and chem books, so I can buy from other students?</p>
<p>For bio and chem the books are generally the exact same thing every year…they just like to make new “custom editions” so you have to keep buying them for way too much every year. I bought books from past students and it worked out fine because my professors also gave out reading assignments for older editions in addition to the newer ones. If you’re worried, don’t be scared to shoot your professor an email and ask.</p>
<p>Usually they post it at the UCI Bookstore at [Welcome</a> to the UCI Bookstore](<a href=“http://www.book.uci.edu%5DWelcome”>http://www.book.uci.edu) , then you go to Coursebooks; they organize it by subject, then course section, then course number.</p>
<p>It will tell you what books are required or optional, as well as other things you need to buy (such as an iClicker for class participation; allows you to input multiple choice answers posted by projector. <p>Another option is using the class website and reading their syllabus or browsing their webpage to see what books/edition are necessary. <a href=“EEE+ Home | UCI”>EEE+ Home | UCI; Make sure that the top right displays the correct quarter. You may look at previous quarters and see what other books students used before you were.</p>
<p>In addition, there is a ninja way of finding an ISBN for some coursebooks via the UCI bookstore website. You may do some research into that if you want, but as people said, the books are ‘Customized’</p>
<p>PRO TIP: The CUSTOMIZED UCI version of bio books are a rip off. They are an exact replica of the international version of the bio book, with chapters removed (meaning WAY less pages, since less content), and a different cover. AND THEY CHARGE MORE FOR IT. L O L.</p>
<p>Anyways, I have the bio 93/94 book for sale if you want to buy them from me. but be forewarned, I may overcharge you without you knowing it because I’m looking to make a bargain.</p>
