Im a girl, and i hate em. jk. Im not a girl, and i dont hate asian guys (im not gay though so i dont really like them).

As for girls, yes. I like asian girls and white girl mostly.

"Can someone tell me when white girls became the standard? Seriously."
Idk, but it is probably because of the large diversity i guess (i dont see them as standard though). But whites have hair mixing from red, blonde, brown, and black, and skin from light to dark.

But a funny story is, i had these three friends, one from seoul, one from hong kong, and one from beijing, at this camp this summer, and all of them were like, "i love white girls, they are so hot".

"of course white girls dont like asian boys. if they liked asian boys, they would have mated with them before coming out of africa and we would not have asians or whites. we would have asian/white mixes--we would have an entirely different race."
hahahahaha

As an individual, I think Flong is an idiot.

In my experience I found that white girls don't like Asian guys (unless he's an Asian jock).

I don't believe this "it depends on his personality" crap. White women think Asian guy = crap personality.

WGWAG

(10char)

i think i've seen way more asian guy/white girl couples than white guy/black girl couples...who knows???

all i can say is good luck if youre going after a white girl and youre asian

It also sort of depends what nationality of Asian you are. I know some people can't tell the difference, but I guess I would say I'm better at it than some people. I don't think I've ever been attracted to a Chinese guy, but Korean most definitely (occasionally Japanese). Oh, and Indian. There are some hot Indian guys here.

10 char........

Umm, well usually, you wont be able to tell koreans, chinese, and japanese apart by skin because their pigment (melanin tone) has a yellow tint, whereas other more southern asian races usually have darker skin, more of a brownish color (as well as pacific islanders). I can tell any of them apart by accents though.

As for indians, i dont think that is what people on this thread are referring to. Generally, indians dont go under the steriotypically "asian" classification, especially because with looks there are no similarities other than maybe black hair.

Koreans have plastic skin and squarer faces while Chinese are short, yellow.

thats not nice pugfug :(
well, i am short and yellow. dam

I love threads about race. They always seem to bring the forum together.

indian guys are fugly and have no personality.

just kidding.

I'm mixed white and asian and tons of white girls have liked me... hot ones too... too bad I don't like them back in that way. But I guess that doesn't answer your question since mixed people look really different. Asian guys definately have a good chance with white girls, maybe not as much as white guys do BUT only because asians are a minority and aren't as common.

AULostChick, stop fooling yourself. I'm Asian (lived there for 15 years) and while I can distinguish among Chinese, Japanese and Korean most of the time, I make a lot of mistakes too. You need a LOT of exposure to Asian faces to distinguish among those three nationalities. They are extremely similar. Can you distinguish a German guy from a Austrian guy?

Flong, have you ever had a crush on a black girl?

i've seen more asian girl/white guy couples than asian guy/white girl couples.

I'm just a little curious. Do they ever feel like they can go out with one, do they think the stereotypes (nerdy, not well endowed, cant drive) things like that affect how they feel about them? Find them attractive? etc etc.

Ughh – I know you already explained yourself, but why is the standard always white girls (no need to answer, since it is a rhetorical Q)?

Yes, the negative stereotype of AMs certainly doesn’t help and the fact that there are hardly any images of tall, handsome, well-built AMs (as opposed to that for BMs and HMs) certainly makes the “playing field” tougher for AMs.

Having said that – AMs who don’t fit the stereotype and are attractive generally have success all across the board (there is a premium on attractiveness – since the majority of people aren’t).

Otoh, an AM who fits the stereotype probably will have a tougher time than say.. a skinny, geeky WM.

However, regardless of how attractive an AM is – online dating is not a good venue (it’s much tougher to overcome stereotypes in cyberspace).

Daniel Dae Kim (“Lost”) is an alright looking Asian guy.

However, he has achieved the most success/name recognition with attractive AMs like Rick Yune, Karl Yune, Yun Choi, Vic Chao, Ivan Shaw (yeah, he’s full Asian) or hapas like Russell Wong, Daniel Henney, Dennis Oh, etc. getting stuck playing bit roles or having to go to Asia for a film career.

Most white girls don't like Asian guys.
Don't forget the fact that white female/black male couples are more common.

For white girls
White guys>black guys>Asian guys.

Most white girls think they don’t like Asian guys (or rather, they don’t even think of it) due to stereotypical media images and the fact that AMs in the media are rarely portrayed with females (this applies to AFs, as well as WFs or BFs).

In actuality, over 20% of US born married AMs are married to WFs (a rate significantly higher than that for BMs overall).

Studies have found that most people tend to date others with a similar background (including race).

Even for WFs who state that they are open to IR dating (online dating) – an overwhelming % of them continue to just contact WMs.

Based on online dating data – the preferences for WFs are WMs>HMs>BMs>AMs.

However, in real life – those preferences/biases don’t always hold up.
