I assume a lot of you are rich, but how does an average Joe like myself pay $45,000 per year?

I'm hoping for lots of financial aid.

i havent gotten my financial aid stuff yet which makes me believe that they are seriously giving me 10 cents... in pennies.

Tiffany -

I really hope not. I haven't gotten anything yet either...

im going to be optimistic and say that they are going to give me 25 cents... not in pennies, but with one giant quarter. haha

I'm not rich, but I did get very good fin aid.

chicago gave me practically nothing. $2600 perkins loan. i appealled that junk, and if it doesnt work out i might just be screwed. i hate being middle-class...

So what? You take loan and you pay it back later? I mean it would suck to have like $200,000 debt at the end of your 4 years.

Live on austerity budget for 4 years. And make sure you're not a philosophy major :).

Well I guess I'll have to major in Econ. and then paying back won't be a problem.

Chicago gave me a ton (all but $6000 or so) for my freshman year. We are currently having finanical difficulties, though, due to the necessary closure of my family's start-up company. I am sure we will be better off financially next year, so grants will most likely lessen.

I hope that they give me a ton- because I'm broke... no seriously...lol
