I've received Presidential Scholarship from GWU.
How do I accept that scholarship?

you have to log into the gweb info system on my.gwu.edu and then go to the financial aid section and go from there…there will be a link where u click to accept ur offer

Thanks Kailey for asking this question and to Pat for answering it. You guys reminded me to go to the gweb info system and accept my financial aid offers. I had completely forgotten about something so important; shame on me.

I went to my.gwu.edu but I couldnt find the place to accept my financial aid offers.
Where on the website can you find it?

I went to the site but it said no FA info was available. It was there several weeks ago. Any idea what’s going on?

Kailey: I’m assuming you signed in with your GWID and Pin. So when I log in, I get this:

Student Records and Registration
Financial Aid Menu
Personal Information Menu.

Click on FA menu. Then click on “My Award Information” then “Award by Year” - here scroll down and select 2010-2011 Financial Aid Year. Submit. The page that comes up has all the options needed. Below Award By Aid Year 2010-2011 Financial Aid Year you have five choices: General Informtion, Award Overview, Resources/Additional Information, Accept Award Offer (BINGO), and Special Messages.

Let me know how this works out for you.

campion: That happened to me about two weeks ago - I couldn’t see any FA info for about two days. I had checked out that page about a month ago so I knew it was there. When I logged in the next time, it was there again. So I guess you just have to wait; it may be a glitch of the system.

I clicked Financial Aid Menu and chose 2010-2011 but it says no financial aid available.
But I received a letter from GWU saying that I received Presidential Scholarship.
When I click on Financial Aid Menu, it says that tax return, W-2 forms, etc are required. But since I’m an international student, I don’t need to submit those forms…

If the Presidential Scholarship is all that you received in aid, then it might not show on your page, hence “no financial aid available”. From what I heard from someone else who receieved the same scholarship (via a letter in her admission package), she said that it did not appear in hers either. But her loans and other things were there. So it may be that this specific scholarship is not listed on the website. Email the Office of Financial Aid as soon as possible, that’s the best advice I can think of.
