How do you answer the Columbia "list your favorite readings" question?

<p>Should I give a simple list for those questions like:</p>

<p>Frankenstein- Mary Shelley
A Raisin in the Sun- Langston Hughes
Othello- Shakespeare</p>

<p>or should I give a brief description of each one talking about it's effect on me? Thanks in advance, I just want to finish this so I can send in my application.</p>

<p>I gave a simple list as I felt myself forming forced reasons on this question. If you feel that you can make the reasons/effects very personal, I don’t see why not. I’ve talked to a few people who have done so. :)</p>
