How do you calculate your GPA ?

I think each school has adopted differeny policies for calculating GPAs...

I am from Canada...and
My school takes 6 of the best subject course final marks out of 8~10 courses
and calculate the average mark (I think...).
But some schools take all the subject marks... while others take only the
academic subject marks....

Anyone like to post their schools GPA policy ?
Or does it depend on what university you apply to?

our school has a 'total' gpa (all courses, including PE, health, etc), both weighted and unweighted, as well as an 'academic' gpa (excludes PE, health) on the transcript, again w and uw. The weighting is based on: 1 bonus point for a UC-approved honors or AP course. We have a normal 4.0 scale.

Anyone else?

well, glass-box, i have the same problem. You are from Canada, what if a person is from the CIS (former USSR)? how do you calculate then? Any suggestions appreciated
Thanks

dont.
Put N/A and send transcripts

colleges have their own way of calculating the GPA.

yea don't bother converting, the college'll figure out a way to look at your GPA.

<a href="http://www.back2college.com/gpa.htm%5B/url%5D">http://www.back2college.com/gpa.htm</a></p>

colleges specify that they dont want converted GPA's

Thanks a lot guys! Appreciate it very much!
