How do you calculate your Weighted GPA?

Does any honors class get an extra point?
I know UC (California) wieghted GPA, only UC approved honors/AP classes get an extra point. What about Weighted GPA to other private schools, universities in other states?
How do you calculate weighted GPA?

Every college or college system will have their own system for such calculations, and some will use only an unweighted GPA. Just ask the admissions office at the school you want to attend how that particular instution calculates.

The weighed GPA calculations are unique to each school. Ours is really confusing because the scores and weight varies depending on whether it’s an Honors/AP class or whether it’s a gym class or whether it meets all year or by semester. In fact, our HS does not calculate gpa until the end of year. Ask your GC for their system.

For unweighted, it’s:
4.5 for A+
4.0 for A,
3.8 for A-,

3.5 for B+,
3.0 for B,
2.8 for B-.

2.5 for C+,
2.0 for C,
1.8 for C-

1.5 for D+,
1.0 for D

For some perspective from an admissions office,
