under clubs

My question was mainly about the CC user profile. But that led me to wonder about where NHS belongs IRL.

What am I missing? I don't see a "clubs" heading on the common app.

There's honors, ECs, work experience.

I'm pretty sure it's honors

My school's NHS didn't do much in terms of organizing events and such, so I put being a member under "honors." But if it had been more involved in doing things like that, I would've put it under "clubs." (DougBetsy, for the common app ECs=Clubs.)

^Agreed, it's all based on how much time you spend. If you're president or are very involved in NHS activities (car washes, etc), it's probably an EC/club. If you're essentially just accepted into the club without much work to stay a member, than you were basically just honored with membership by your school. In that case, it would be an award.

For us to stay in NHS we have to do lots of volunteering each semester through NHS projects, yet it was also an award.

So I put it under both, but might take it off of award
