How do you change your class schedule?

<p>My D is an incoming freshman and has printed her class schedule from NOVASIS. Is it typical that the university sets their schedule in their first year? Did we miss a window of time where she could have selected her own classes and time (which is how I remember it was done in my time).</p>

<p>One of her classes conflicts with her job schedule and needs to move the class time. She has emailed her advisor about it but have not heard back yet. We tried doing it on-line but can only get as far as seeing the classes available on the Registration Add/Drop page but no prompts to add/drop classes.</p>

<p>We ended up calling her advisor. The school does put the class schedules together for freshmans. So in order to make the change, we had to call the school. (My D can't wait when she can just choose her class schedule herself.)</p>
