How do you control it???

So, I'm doing my National Merit Essay right now, and at the same time I'm thinking about Stanford essays.

How does everyone here control the anxiety??? The nervousness??? I'm having a really hard time with that (and other classmates are also...one of my friends had a random pseudo-"panic" attack on the floor while we were all discussing where we're applying early action/decision to). Any suggestions? I can't wait until December 15, but I'm absolutely ready to burst with excitement, nervousness, all that stuff! I can't imagine not getting in, which is really weird, because I really don't want to think about that right now.

sigh

If only there were a formula to definitely get into the school of your choice. :o) But then there wouldn't be any fun in that, right?

So, main question is: How is everyone here handling the anxiety of applying to Stanford (assuming it's your top choice, of course)?

Find a few other schools you also really like, ideally at least one that you are sure you will get into. Also get off CC, it only makes you more anxious.

Amen to that, marlgirl. CC is anxiety central around admissions time, and you might be well-advised to make sure you're not feeding off of that anxiety.
