How do you cope with stress?

High school is a mental breakdown waiting to happen: balancing homework, tests, friends, sports, ECs, work, and all the other miscellaneous obstacles that life throws is difficult. How do you guys deal?

I personally take naps and run laps - are there any other methods that work for you guys?

1) Laugh.
2) Think about girls.
3) Think about the stuff that I'm interested in. (weather)

The best way to cope with stress is by squeezing those soft anti stress balls obsessively

I play guitar.

Plan ahead and DO IT! Not just planning but also utilizing it ON TIME!!! I so wish i can follow my own advice!

I randomly burst out into song! :p

size=1[/size]

Just try and get all the stuff you don't want to do sooner than later. It kinda sucks to get motivated to do it, but once you are, you don't really notice, and when you're done, you have no stress. If you can manage your time well, you sholdl be able to do everything you want. Just be organzied with your time.

To relieve stress, I just listen to music, usually while playing poker or bridge (some game that can be mentally stimulating) so I feel like I'm doing something.

If anyone says drugs (incl. alcohol), s/he should prepare herself/himself for a personal online beat down.

With that in mind, I say cannabis which is 100% legal where I live.

A good to deal with stress is that you will only be in high school for a short amount of time compared to your life...

1) HAPPY MUSIC. it can turn a bad day into a WONDERFUL day! (save certain songs for when you're really down, so they never get old)
2) When you're doing homework, spread it all out in front of you and do it like 15 minutes at a time per assignment.
3) If it's a weekend and you have extra time, go like 5 minutes homework, 5 minutes collegeconfidential (or tv or facebook or something)
4) Study in coffee shops, if you have a laptop, especially.
5) Have something to look forward to. Always.
6) Learn to say no. Not being able to adds a LOT of stess to your life.
7) Don't get fat. It's uncomfortable and stress-invoking.
8) Do something that really, really interests you for 20 minutes a day, every day.
9) Have something special planned for Wednesdays. Like, go to the donut shop in the morning, or something like that.
10) When you get a really really exceptional grade on something, keep it in your mind for a while. At least the whole day. It makes you feel better :)
11) Try yoga. Actually, stretch every day for a while, and then try yoga. Because you can't really experience it if you aren't moderately flexible.
12) Try something mundane but fun .. like crocheting .. it's not intellectually stimulating so it's a nice break from all of your APs.

I eat people.

I don't. It consumes me.

Or maybe aabbcc1789 will do the same, huh?

sometimes when I feel overwhelmed I'll lie down for a little bit, listen to some music with good lyrics, and think about everything that's going on; try to prioritize things or whatever. Sometime I'll also write or sketch. It just helps prevent me from going crazy, haha.

I've deleted and made Myspace over 5 times. Whenever I got depressed over whatever and stressed, I'd delete it, lol...But I like to listen to music, think about my goals, do a hobby to get my mind somewhere else (usually cars) and hopefully I get better.

I yell "BALLS" at the top of my lungs for various periods of time.....seriously.

I become moody and anti-social. So I don't go on AIM and I deactivate Facebook and do homework.

And if I'm that angry, I will blog about it.

1: I sleep.

2: I run on my treadmill 5-6 miles 5 days a week.

3: I practice ballet.

However, I don't really know how useful this all is, considering I am always anxious anyway. I was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder when I was 12, but I don't really do anything about it.

I find the problem and destroy it.

I dance like crazy...and stay up late in my special corner and read my favorite magazines...

Once, when I was really SUPER stressed (and pretty depressed as well), I ran outside, stripped off most of my clothes, and urinated on the local golf course.

Good times.
