How do you cope with waiting?

All my apps are in. I've already heard from one (accepted yay!) but am still waiting on the others and I feel like I'm going crazy...I practically assault the poor mailman every day. Any advice on how to cope with this impatience? Especially since it may be months before I hear...

Get more ECs; lots more ECs. Fill up your schedule until college apps mean almost nothing to you. One day, you'll notice that you missed some big yellow envelopes, and you'll fine out that you got admitted to your first choice a few days after everyone else found out (hopefully). =D

See, it's not that I don't have ECs; I do.

It's just that the really time-consuming ones don't start for about another month. Sigh So until December I'm pretty much stuck.

I'm having problems waiting too. But there's one common thread with all my schools I've applied to: I'll be paying an arm and a leg. So I've kept busy working.. lol

I've drawn up a strict schedule for me and a bunch of other friends who EDed places. I have something fun to do almost every day, so I've got stuff to look forward to. IF I don't have something that day, it's bc I'm at one of my jobs. If I still don't have anything to do, I've scheduled in some kind of community service. As long as I get one thing in a day, I have something that I need to prepare for and look forward to, so between having to wake up early and having to get ready every day, my mind isn't on apps too much.

I would suggest get Hellgate London, WOW, everquest, counterstrike and play them. Works for me :D

I cope with waiting for my EA app results by doing my RD ones.......

=</p>

I've sent in all my applications. I'm just working on scholarships, playing games, hanging out with friends, and making sure I don't have senioritis now.

Live.

Go to parties, go on dates, climb mount everest. Ok maybe that last one was too far.

The fact of the matter is, the stress is of preparation is pretty much over. Just start living your life normally. (I'm assuming you worked you ass of to get into a top university)

How did you hear from one already? When did you submit your apps? Was it for a rolling deadline? Sorry for bombarding you with questions, but I would LOVE to know before the 15th of Dec.!

My friends applied to the local state university as safeties and they already know that they got in, apparently they were told. I don't know firsthand though as I'm not applying there.

^I applied to all CSUs, and San Francisco State had quite the quick turnaround.

I'm having the hardest time waiting. I feel like I'm constantly counting how many days I have left until December 15th! (...41 Days!)

I didn't think doing the application was very stressful. It's the not knowing that gets to me. I really should relax, but I don't think that'll happen until I get that letter.
