Pathetique - It’s baking SODA (not baking POWDER). There is a difference. You can find it in the little yellow box in the baking section of a grocery store.
Another hint for Starling - why not just shower when you return at 10:00 p.m. - and make sure you actually wash your feet with soap - not just let them get the shower water.

^^agreed. thats why ill never stop wearing em

odor eaters/foot spray…get it in the dr. scholl’s aisle

eddieodessa

I take shower in the morning…so at night, it’s really difficult to wash my feet only.
Do you guys wash just the feet, and not take a shower??
How do you guys do this?

OP, you can get odour eaters to place into your shoes. Here in GB we have Dr Scholl, not sure if you have it there. Also, change socks daily.

Wash them daily too, if you don’t currently.

It seems like that i have a smelly feet. When i go back dorm and take off the shoes,my roommate asked me to wash my feet.Sometimes,i don’t smell it,but they smell.I think washing your feet daily with soap and washing you shoes often can help reducing the smell.

eddieodessa, Yeah I know it’s soda. I would never put baking powder in my shoes. I know the difference between the two, just put the wrong word, thinking about baby powder and all ;] Oops.

Washing shoes can be difficult because the washing machine can deform them and hand washing them can result in mold growth if you cannot dry them very quickly. I suggest buying a fresh pair of shoes AND fresh socks. Wash your feet in hot water while lathering them generously with a deodorizing soap every time you shower. Put baby powder in your socks and shoes before putting them on. When you’re not using your shoes pop deodorizing balls in them.

The foot/shoe odor spray suggested above works well for me; I wear 9 in safety boots 10 to 12 hours a day, so they smell pretty bad after a few day’s worth. The spray keeps the odor down, but make sure to also change your socks and wash your feet regularly.

Find someone to lick them clean for you. It worked for me.

lol…

A mom with tons of sons here…

Get another pair and alternate days - never where the same pair two days in a row. This will generally clear it up and will also make your shoes last a lot longer.

Use 100% cotton socks only. Polyester holds in the sweat and makes a bad problem worse.

Get a shoebox size plastic bin with a lid and fill it full of white vinegar. Dip your feet in it every night before bed. The vinegar kills the germs you pick up in the college showers and also kills funguses like athlete’s foot that can add to the problem. For about 10 minutes you’ll smell like an Easter egg, but you’ll smell better the rest of the time!

I read once that putting scented dryer sheets in the shoes when you’re not wearing them works.
